KIP Plastic Fine Line Masking Tape 380 is a super-thin, strong and supple waterproof and UV resistant PE-laminated polyester masking tape. Normally used externally when you need to protect surfaces from plaster, cement and other thick coatings (or multiple coats of traditional paint), and where you need a sharp edge combined with excellent wet strength to resist tearing of the tape during removal. Paper backed masking tapes don't tend to be strong enough for masking up surfaces on wet plaster, wet rendering and thick coating projects, they simply don't have enough wet strength to be resistant to abrasion, or enough strength to release without tearing, when overcoated with thicker coatings. You really need a strong plastic water-proof masking tape. Strong thick gaffer-type tapes can do the job, but they can be difficult to unwind off the roll with one hand, leave a thick fatty edge, and their adhesion strength is often too high for easy release, causing damage upon removal. KIP's Plastic Fine Line Masking Tape 380 overcomes these problems.
KIP Plastic Fine Line Masking Tape 380 unwinds easily off the roll. Designed to tear easily at 90 deg by hand - without knife or scissors. Removes cleanly from exterior and interior surfaces up to 3 weeks after application. Use on almost all smooth (uPVC etc), to slightly rough surfaces - such as stone.
