Mirka Pad Saver Strip for 56 Hole / 70 x 198mm Orbital sanders. Enables smooth and stable Abranet sanding. The Pad Saver protects the backing pad from rapid wear out. In effect, it is a sacrificial hook n loop layer, which is far cheaper to replace than the whole backing pad, or hand sanding block.
Its really designed for use with Mirka's 70 x 198mm orbital sander, but can be used with their 70 x 198mm Dust Extraction Hand Sanding Block.
We recommend replacing the Pad Saver strip when the grip attachment of the Abranet sanding abrasive starts to become weak.
Application instructions: Match the Backing Pad Protector hole pattern to the backing pad. Apply and press firmly onto the backing pad.
