Anti Slip Floor Paint is a tough, durable, high opacity floor coating. It contains special Bauxite aggregates which provide outstanding anti-slip properties to improve safety. Suitable for use on concrete, masonry, tiles, wood, metal and many other surfaces. Recommended for floors carrying foot and light truck traffic.
It is easily applied by brush or roller, and is available in our 3 most popular colours. At last you can buy an anti-slip product for little more than our standard floor paint. Practical coverage approximately 8 square meters per litre, although this will vary according to the porosity and surfaces profile of the substrate.
Ensure all areas are clean, sound, dry and free from all dust, dirt, loose and flaking material, and general surface contamination. All oils, grease and other contaminants, etc. should be removed with a suitable degreasing solution and/or steam cleaning. New concrete must be fully through-dry (a rule-of-thumb guide is to allow 1 month of drying time for every inch of concrete laid - For example 6 months for 6 inches of concrete). Etch or mechanically abrade any hard smooth, chemically treated or power floated concrete floors, and remove any surface laitance (soft under-bound surface layer). Timber surfaces should be thoroughly sanded and vacuumed.
Bare or New Substrates: Apply 1 coat Floor Paint thinned by 10-20% with clean white spirit, when dry apply 1 or 2 coats of unthinned Floor Paint.
Previously painted substrates (sound): Existing coatings must be sound, firmly adhered and suitable for coating (apply a test area if unsure). Wash, degrease and thoroughly abrade to roughen existing surfaces and remove sheen. Apply 2 coats of Floor Paint.
Practical coverage approximately 8 square meters per litre, this may vary depending on the porosity and profile of the substrate. Only apply by brush or short/medium pile roller. Drying time approximately 16 hours. Recoatable within approximately 8 hours minimum and 7 days maximum. These times are based on a temperature of 20°C, normal relative humidity and good drying conditions. Do not apply if temperatures are below 10°C, especially in areas of low ventilation.
Available in Red, Black and Green in 5.0 Litre tins only.
Note: Anti-Slip Floor Paint cannot be used on Asphalt, PVC or Thermoplastic Tiles.
